Maura Rego from our Berlin studio will be giving a talk and leading two workshops at this years’ Doer’s conference in Budapest.
In this talk, Mauro will discuss the challenges and pitfalls of working as a service designer in in-house strategic projects and present his view on why service designers should nurture their craft even more.
Workshop 1: Being Visual | Visualizing Services
In essence, services are intangible, and we only perceive them through artifacts and interactions. So, how can we “see” them before they exist? “Being visual” is one of the first rules for any brainstorming session. It is a common strategy to communicate ideas, data, service and business concepts.
The first Being Visual session will be about the basics of visual literacy and how we can apply them to support the design of services. Mauro will give an introduction and demonstrate tools and examples of visualization in service design.
Workshop 2: Being Visual | Visual Facilitation Basics
Usually misunderstood as someone scribbling on the wall while people are discussing a specific topic, Visual Facilitation is a platform for people to communicate and understand each other on general matters.
The second Being Visual session will be about tips and tricks to facilitate work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
